This week in the Art room, Grade 6 students finished their oil pastel landscape drawings! They did a mighty fine job of creating these works of art!! I am super proud of their efforts in creating 3D pumpkins...:)
Grades 7 and 8 continued work on their One Point Perspective Names and Pop Art Candy Paintings...
Grade 5 began gluing their cardboard house pieces together. These 3D structures are really starting to take shape. I love all of the cool building design ideas floating around the room. I see some architectural genuises blooming!
Grade 4 continues their weaving journey! They have really taken on this challenge full force. Next week we will add beads and feathers to those that desire that additional flair!
Some of the students in Grade 2/3 completed their textured turtle drawings this week in the Art room. They look terrific! The intricate textures make these drawings super special.
Grade K/1 saw a PowerPoint prezzy on Piet Mondrian. We saw paintings where he used only horizontal and vertical black lines and primary colors! Students knew that they could use Mr. Mondrian's work as inspiration for their own pieces! We learned to use a ruler to make straight lines, too!! Work continues next week...
