Class of 2010 Graduates from SVDP
On Friday, June 4th, St. Vincent de Paul School celebrated the graduation of the Class of 2010. The thirty-six 8th graders comprised the largest graduating class in the School’s history. The Graduation began with a Mass concelebrated by Monsignor Patrick Brown and Father Leonardo immediately followed by the Commencement Exercises. Monsignor Brown and Principal Nora DiDia addressed the class, congratulating them on their accomplishments and challenging them to achieve in the future.
The Valedictorian was Chelsea Piserchia who earned the highest grade point average in the class. The honor of class Salutatorian was shared by Kathleen Schlegel and Keegan Kelly who jointly achieved the second highest grade point average in the class. Chelsea and Kathleen will be attending Villa Walsh Academy this September while Keegan will be attending Oak Knoll.
In addition to Valedictorian and Salutatorian, the St. Vincent de Paul Community Service award was given to Miranda Fornaro who will be attending The Academy of St. Elizabeth. The St. Vincent de Paul boy was Stephen Gallic and the St. Vincent de Paul girl was Madison Simon. Stephen will be attending Watchung Hills and Madison will be attending Union Catholic this September.
