SVDP Welcomes Baseball Players as Guest Readers

St. Vincent de Paul School was recently privileged to welcome three Baseball Players as guest readers in the Library. Tim Brechbuehler of Gillette is a pitcher for the University of North Carolina, Matt Giannini of Millington is a Pitcher for Rutgers University and Michael Loree of Gillette, a graduate of Villanova University, now pitches for the San Francisco Giants.

The three Baseball Players read their favorite sports-themed childhood stories to the students.  After reading stories the players answered many questions from the curious children.  The Second Grade students were thrilled to receive autographed baseball cards from Michael Loree.  All three Pitchers got their start in Long Hill Little League and have many happy memories of that time.
