Students Prepare for Christmas with Xmas Pageant, Visit to Lounsberry

Students at St. Vincent de Paul have been busy getting prepared for Christmas. Several members of the 2nd grade and 7th grade classes visited the residents of Lounsberry Meadows. The student chatted and played games with the residents as well as bringing mountains of Christmas deserts. It was a fun afternoon for both the students and the residents.

To get in the Christmas spirit, Senora Lopez, SVDP Spanish teacher, created a “Natividad”, a Nativity scene, in her classroom. Senora Lopez requested students in grades Kindergarten through 8 to bring in a piece for the manger scene. The end result is a beautiful nativity scene that has been enjoyed by all.
On December 18th, the school held its annual Christmas Pageant. Students preformed such traditional favorites as “Santa Claus is Coming to Town”, “March of the Wooden Soldiers”, “12 Days of Christmas” and “Russian Dance”. New this year was students performing an Irish Dance to “Christmas in Killarney”. As always the highlight of the pageant was the living nativity. As the students depart for Christmas vacation, all are certainly filled with the Christmas Sprit.
